The Orionids Meteor Shower peaks with up to 20 meteors per hour on Saturday night, October 21. With a quarter moon setting near midnight, visibility will be good, better if you wake an hour before sunrise.

On a good year, you can see as many as 90 meteors per hour, and this is a good year. The shower is expected to peak on the 13th on it’s way to a New Moon on the 16th. That’s a good formula for watching.
